Laura Rutty
Laura is our Company and Participation Manager, where she designs, manages and develops our award-winning participation programme, in addition to as managing finance and day-to-day of operations of the organisation. Laura came on board to produce Urban Explorers 2018 and has been a part of the company ever since.
She has a passion to broaden and improve access for movement and dance, especially strengthening access to our local community, young people and our work in schools and education. Laura has worked in participation and outreach projects for the last 5 years, previously a part of the participation department Nottingham Playhouse for over 2 years as well as working for Castlefield Gallery, Warrington Museum Art Gallery and Bank Quay House Gallery.
She found her passion for community outreach projects by hosting and curating the first African photography exhibition for Crop Up at Bohunk Institute Gallery. Sharing the success and creative work of East African photographers as well as food, music, and cultural values.
With a passion for movement, Laura is proud to teach Bachata, Salsa and Kizomba in Nottingham as part of Los Traviesos Production Team, performing in Paris and Budapest.
