Tom Dale Company in partnership with Inspire present
A visceral fusion of urban dance and music
Navigating the urban landscape, expect free flowing visceral urban contemporary dance born out of the intensity of the urban music scene of grime, trap, dubstep and drum and bass. An exciting performance from Tom Dale Company with young dancers and musicians from across Nottinghamshire, exploring the urban arts scene and its influences.
Choreographed by Tom Dale, working with TDC dancers, Black Thunder & TOL Collaboration Group, Reverse Flow, Backfoot Forward, JME Dance Company, electronic musician Jimmy Power with Dawn House Special School and Mansfield Pride, creating new work premiered at Nottingham Playhouse.
We hope this is just the start of the Urban Explorers’ expeditions into art influences and cross-artform collaborations, mixing professional and non-professional artists into an annual urban arts fusion showcase. Urban Explorers is a collaboration with Inspire with funding from Arts Council England and supported by Nottingham Playhouse.
